Getting Traffic To A New Blog Day One And Day Two
April 30, 2008
Hi everyone,
Over the past few weeks I’ve been reading forums, blogs, and reviewing what people have asked me via my forum, or email. The basic question that was asked, was, how do I build traffic to my newly installed blog.
So, I figured for the next 28-30 days I’ll create a post of exactly what I have done, how many places I submitted my newly installed blog, what my goals are.
At the end of the case study, I’ll post a link to a file of all the places that I went to that gave me the traffic so you can use these too.
Below, is Day 1 of the case study that started yesterday and below that will be Day 2, tomorrow I will post Day 3’s Journal.
I hope this helps all of you and what exactly is involved as in time and effort that needs to be put in. Note: SEO Website Builder Pro will do most of this automatically for you when I finally launch in the coming weeks.
Day 1 - Blog Case Study, Driving Traffic To A Newly Installed Wordpress Blog.

Got something to say?

Hey Loz,
The only automatic posting plugin for wordpress that I was aware of, disappeared into cyberspace. Do you use a plugin, or have you set up a RSS feed?
BTW - This topic is great! — Good’on’Ya! — Baz
Hey Baz,
The automatic posting is still there bud.
When you make your post, to the right hand side you’ll see the words “publish” or something or another just above the save or publish button. There you can set the time and data for it to be published, once you done that, click on published for it to be scheduled to post out on that date.
If you’re using an old version, use the “Time Stamp” slug, and set it that way.
Blogs come with rss feeds mate. Click on the “Entries RSS” to the right of this blog, others are worded differently.
BTW, just so you know, it’s not this blog that I’m doing the case study on.
It’s a blog that I made the other day that revolves around personal loans.
See ya tomorrow.
All the best
Loz
Hey Loz,
This is great information and I look forward to reading your daily updates. Thanks very much for sharing this with us.
Charles
Can you tell us whats your blog is all about?
Quote:
“Submitted Blog Feed to 122 RSS Feed Directories. (automated Submission, phew!)”
= How? What have you used? RSS submit or something like that?
Recently I have problems with all these old automated scripts ’cause all the RSS directories want you to Register and then login before you can submit your feeds.
Takes foreverrrrrrr to submit manually
D
Hi Nefarian,
I already did bud, right above where i say “See ya tomorrow”
“Personal Loans”
Loz
Hi Dagmar,
Yes, RSS Submit was used, 80 of them or so were automated rss feed submissions, the other was RSS Top 55 list that you can do manually, but about 10 or so of them no longer work.
Yes that’s right, quite annoying, yesterday I signed up to 26 of them, that’s why it was so time consuming.
But not to worry, as the days ahead go by, we’ll be posting our blog with the appropriate text to various other places as well.
K, I just woke up here, about to have my coffee, and gonna get to work for a few hours.
See you all in a bit.
All the best

I’ve never heard of Instant Article Wizard (or anything like it). It sounds like it may be very useful. Do you have any examples on this blog where you used this tool? I’m curious to see how natural an edited article reads when it’s drafted via algorithms.
Thanks,
Jon
Hi ya Jon, here’s a snippet. I can’t show you the blog for security purposes as doing free stuff like this for people showing them what the processes are, how long it takes, what kind of traffic you get, adsense earnings, etc, some tend to be a right A.Hole about it and keep clicking on your ads. Although ALL of my sites have tracking software on there to determine who clicked on the ad, where from, what IP addresses etc which I ALWAYS report to Google Adsense team. I prefer not to divulge what the url is.
Sorry about that.
But here’s a snippet from what Instant Article Wizard Pro does.

Secured loans are loans that are secured against your property, which is why they are only available to homeowners. With secured homeowner loans you can enjoy increased borrowing power depending on the level of equity in your home, as well as longer repayment periods, which can help to keep your repayments to a minimum. Secured loans are loans that have collateral. Unsecured loans don’t have property which can be repossessed.) A secured creditor can repossess the property that secures the debt. Secured loans are more readily offered by the lender, as it have less hazard to him. In other words, the loan amount is given against the equity present in the collateral, which is usually a place.
Interest rates are hitting the skies. So, what impact do these rising interest rates have on the economy? Interestingly enough, VA Loan foreclosure rates have been dropping while other types of loans continue to have rising foreclosure rates. The census statistics offer interesting insights about the rising rate of Veterans in the Southern United States, while the rate decreases elsewhere.

p.s
I’m almost done with todays hog slog of getting links, creating article snippets to post out to various places, etc, and will write up another blog post when done.
Loz,
Still here, had some loose ends to tie up. Want to roll up my sleeves and digg in.
Question: On Day 1 you said install and configure my blog.
Have Blog Matrix Pro. Can I use this?
Blu Thunder
Hi ya,
It really doesn’t matter mate, a blog, a normal site, a free site, which ever. I’ve never heard of blog matrix pro, so I don’t know of it’s con’s or pros. I tend to stick with free stuff that works. It’s the way I have always rolled, keeping my outgoings at a minimum.
Too many people these days are buying so much junk these days and wonder why they don’t make any money with the tools they bought when most of the stuff I do is done by tools that DO WORK, and there are only a few tools I use, while the rest of it, is all free.

If you use Instant Article wizard don’t you have duplicate content ?
Hello Dave I have Instant Article Wizard actually now I have the Pro edition so far nothing better out there- I am a member of Loz’s forum and he has shown us in Video Guide For Profits all the stuff he uses and how, but IAW extracts sentences not whole articles and you have to do some manipulation so it reads well but because it only extracts 2 sentences from each source it is never duplicate content as an article as a whole - because the come from various places — the pro edition is even better because it actually grabs the info and puts it in readable format which you can edit as you wish and never will you get more tha 2 sentences of info from any sources and it actually uses more sources to gather the info from than just the regular IAW edition. Go for the Pro if you can it really is great Hope this helps
Krista
Hi,
Just some questions if you have time to answer.
I guess you first write a long list of profitable keywords that you extracted with KE. After that you start creating articles with IAW. This you seem to do very fast. I was wondering how much work you put into each article?
Is this about right? You pretty much use who article that IAW comes up with. Rewrite title to exact fit your phrase. Then add something in the start and end with your keyword phrase? After that you add some incontext link to some of your other pages? There is no dupe content penalties at all? I guess Krista answered that tho.
Thanks for a great blog
Hi Johan
Well, rather than writing them down, I save the Keyword Elite Project 2, and come back to it when needed, sorting the keywords to highest paying first, and incorporating my high paying click formula. You see, not all of the high paying ones will pay high, reason why I can’t say, that’s only privileged to Video Guide To Profit members I’m afraid.
Yes, I do tend to do them fast. I have a dual Processor Motherboard that outputs just over 6ghz of CPU power, 32 GB of RAM.
So that always helps productivity. Software will only work as fast as what you have. Plus my internet connection is real fast too. So the speed will differ from person to person. I only have these components cos I get bored sitting around waiting for things to get processed, otherwise I will lose motivation.
So yup, my title normally is my main keyword for the topic at hand, plus the main keyword next to it to reduce the prominence percentage of the title tag, whilst increasing the proximity of the related word.
Nope, duplicate content is only applied regarding to penalties when they are on the SAME site.
If an entire article is found on two sites, word for word, no penalty is applied, which one ranks first is based on time stamp, PR (how many links pointing to it), and which references that article points to.

Thanks a lot for quick answer Loz! Ill make sure to join Seo Websitebuild Pro when its realeased. Cant wait to get this automated:)
Just some followup questions. The computer speed is not really my problem but if you just shoot out articles from IAW without fixing them they will get rejected at ezinearticles and other places where they are reviewed. They might work at goarticles and stuff. If i put time to “fix them up” i have to spend like 20 mins per article or so. Not saying its not worth it but can get a bit tiresom if you need 50 articles to rank for one word
One last question:) When using KE project 2 (with like 10k words) i always run into the problem that google blocks me. I tried proxies but same thing after a while. I mean it works for maybe 3k words and then it stops displaying results and on searches. Do you know any solution for this or some good free proxy?
BR,
Johan
Hi ya
I shoot out articles all the time, with no modifications - to be honest, I can’t be arsed to modify them. As my SEO Website Builder Pro header says, I’m a lazy bum.
Ezine articles will reject articles if they are not conforming to the editorial guidelines, review when you have a chance. In short, if your keyword density is high, they will reject it. If you just place 3 links inside the body, they will reject it. If you place 3 links of your own, plus 3 links to other sources, they will approve it.
What am I hinting at? When you get to a point of say 90-120 articles on your blog, start another, or create a website, repeat and spin what we are doing here, and add that second site in with the other 3 links that can be added to the body article for a total of 6 links.
Works for me.
Yup, SEO is tiresome, I guess that’s why not everyone is doing it, or ranking for the keywords they want. But it does get easier. I think the attitude to have is to treat it like a part-time, full time job, a causal job even.
I personally treat it as a hobby - just the way my mind works, anything with the word “work”, “job” in it, puts me off..LMAO
It’s not really advisable to run 10,000+ keywords via P2, cos that’s what happens, Google Blocks you temporally.
So what I do is select all of my keywords, right click and export as group TXT.
OR, I use the area that say’s “match phrases containing” / “remove phrases containing” to give me a list of around 100-500 keywords, then EXPORT the list, THEN send it over to Project 2. But before sending them over to project 2, I save project 1 so I can come back and sort out more keywords.
I don’t really use proxy to be honest with you, but you can check out J.A.P (free) or metropipe dot net.

Wow thanks a lot for the fast answers again, this gave me some great ideas. You could put all Q&A from comments on these posts into an ebook and sell:)
heehe, already done that mate, but their in video guide to profit videos
Your internet business is awesome! How and where did you choose to create your blogs from the many offers.
Hi Natacha,
Thanks..
From the many offers? I’m not sure what you mean, sorry.
The tools I only use is Keyword Elite, Instant Article Wizard, Website Content Wizard (to rewrite the ones I did with IAW), Article Post Robot. And Adobe PhotoShop to create the graphics for the site(s), that’s about it really.
All the best
Loz
A very good post brother but I have to ask. Is this blog that you are talking about or is it another blog or blogs and you are using this one to show us how you did it?
Thanks a lot
Hey Fatos,
Nah, there’s no adsense on this blog.
This blog gets over 300 hits a day.
All the best
Loz
Ezine articles will except links in the body as long as it is below the fold. The fold is is after paragraph 3
